2 events,It’s a flat course starting at the Aztec Lakes close to the site of the Brabazon Arena in north Bristol. A 9k multi-terrain race through woodlands and along towpaths. There’s even a rope climb just before the finish! This race usually offers one of the best medals you’ll have in your collection! The race is organised by Bitton Road Runners. |

A 7.5 mile multi-terrain event on the lanes and footpaths around Shapwick and Shapwick Heath. Whitchurch Athletics Track is under threat of closure. It's currently used as The Family Cycling Centre but is due to have houses built on it very soon. 6 events,Formerly known as the Minster Milers’ Mash, The Ilminster 10k is an undulating course that takes in the beautiful South Somerset countryside including the magnificent backdrop of the Dillington Estate finishing through the historic Ilminster Town Square. Part of the Somerset Series. Someone has finally taken advantage of the amazing Bristol-Bath cycle path to put on a range of distance races. 10k, Half, 25k, Marathon & 50k distances all available. One of the oldest 10k races in the country, with the first one being run back in 1980. It’s a traffic-free road race and every finisher will receive a Frenchay 10k Mug. Marathon, half marathon, 10k and one-mile fun run options. Road marathons are pretty rare in this area, but this is one of the best. Fast, flat and very well organised. |

1 event,A five mile race that starts on the Chepstow side of the Severn Bridge. Run along the path to the England side, loop round and back to the start. Timed for when the sun is setting which can be pretty spectacular. |

6 events,You’ll run 4.1 miles, on the hour, every hour, until only one runner remains. The route is largely flat and run on gravel paths. Get 10% off entry to any Gert Lush event with the code RUNFINDER10. This year there is a 50-mile or 50km option that will take you up and down the Mendip Hills, starting and finishing at the Mendip Activity Centre near Churchill in Somerset. Organised by the Town and Country Harriers (TACH). A running and walking event with options for 12.5, 17, 21 and 26.5 miles. The trail route uses public footpaths, farmland and tow paths to take you around Bath and the surrounding countryside and villages. Confusingly, this race is nowhere near Frome in Somerset. Instead, it takes place on the roads and trails around Winterbourne, just north of Bristol. All money raised will go to support Elm Park Primary School. There’s also a colour run for kids. A 5k charity colour fun-run around Tredegar Park raising money for St David’s Hospice Care.
