This event, which is backed by Pro-Direct and On, attracts some of the fastest runners in the country. And they live stream some of the races.
An off-road 7k(ish), just north of Chepstow in the Wye Valley.
Marathon, half marathon, 10k and one-mile fun run options. Road marathons are pretty rare in this area, but this is one of the best. Fast, flat and very well organised.
One of the oldest 10k races in the country, with the first one being run back in 1980. It’s a traffic-free road race and every finisher will receive a Frenchay 10k Mug.
Someone has finally taken advantage of the amazing Bristol-Bath cycle path to put on a range of distance races. 10k, Half, 25k, Marathon & 50k distances all available.
Formerly known as the Minster Milers’ Mash, The Ilminster 10k is an undulating course that takes in the beautiful South Somerset countryside including the magnificent backdrop of the Dillington Estate finishing through the historic Ilminster Town Square. Part of the Somerset Series.
A five mile race that starts on the Chepstow side of the Severn Bridge. Run along the path to the England side, loop round and back to the start. Timed for when the sun is setting which can be pretty spectacular.
This year there is a 50-mile or 50km option that will take you up and down the Mendip Hills, starting and finishing at the Mendip Activity Centre near Churchill in Somerset. Organised by the Town and Country Harriers (TACH).
A running and walking event with options for 12.5, 17, 21 and 26.5 miles. The trail route uses public footpaths, farmland and tow paths to take you around Bath and the surrounding countryside and villages.
